Facebook has not said what caused the outage.

Facebook is now down, as users are reporting a message indicating that "something went wrong" when accessing the site.

We're looking into the matter, but until Facebook comes back up, we encourage you to get away from the screens and go find something delightful to do with those around you.

Facebook's website and apps stopped working for a period of time Monday afternoon.

A check of DownDetector showed Wichita's outage was minor compared to the East Coast.

According to a Facebook spokesperson, the issue was due to a routine test.
