Boeing has delivered 219 Max planes - the latest and most advanced 737 jets - since the models made their commercial debut previous year with a Lion Air subsidiary.

Boeing said in a statement received at China's largest air show in Zhuhai that its bulletin to airlines underscored "existing flight crew procedures" created to address circumstances where information coming into the cockpit from the sensors was wrong.

This warning extends to both Air Canada and WestJet pilots, since both the airlines use 737-Max planes regularly. Under some circumstances, such as when pilots are manually flying, the Max jets will automatically try to push down the nose if they detect that an aerodynamic stall is possible, the person said.

"Whenever appropriate, Boeing, as part of its usual processes, issues bulletins or makes recommendations regarding the operation of its aircraft".

To avoid having the problem repeat, pilots may deactivate the stabilizer trim system, according to The Air Current's explanation.

Exhibiting similar problems, a recently delivered Lion Air Boeing 737 Max 8 passenger plane crashed into the sea off Jakarta, Indonesia nearly two weeks ago with 189 people onboard.

The plane and the pilots were grounded, while passengers were escorted off the aircraft and moved to another plane, which took off to a considerable delay compared to the original flight schedule.

Wednesday night's incident involving Indonesian low- cost airline Lion Air comes as the authorities extend search efforts till Saturday for victims' bodies and a second black box from the downed Flight JT610. A preliminary report is expected at the end of the month.

Indonesian accident investigators said on Monday that an airspeed indicator on the crashed jet was damaged for its last four flights, but US authorities responded cautiously to suggestions of fleet-wide checks. "We think this is an issue that is important because there are more than 200 Max planes around the world", Capt. Nurcahyo Utomo, the transportation safety committee's lead accident investigator, told the Times.

"The Indonesian National Transportation Safety Committee has indicated that Lion Air flight 610 experienced erroneous input from one of its AOA (Angle of Attack) sensors", said a statement released by Boeing on Wednesday.

The airline said at the time that it had 61 "firm orders" for the planes.

American said it was issuing similar communications to its pilots to emphasize the existing protocols.

Certainly, Indonesian search and rescue officials had trouble locating the wreck, despite encountering a large amount of wreckage in the four days leading up to the discovery of the fuselage.

Rescuers are looking for the cockpit voice recorder, which will help explain what caused the crash.
