Bryant spent the majority of his career in Dallas playing on the outside, though he played more snaps than usual in the slot past year. He caught 531 passes for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns during his tenure, including 838 yards and six touchdowns last season.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith is being placed on injured reserve and will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Dez Bryant saga has finally reached its next chapter as the receiver-needy Saints have signed the former Dallas Cowboy to a one-year deal. "I know he'll help their team".

Bryant, who's 30 years old, maintained solid production throughout his career with the Cowboys prior to being released this offseason.

The Saints are now 7-1 and the top-scoring offense in the NFC. He signed his last contract right after that but has not approached that level of production since - a central reason Dallas released him in April.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of Bryant's season goes with the Saints.

After waiting nearly three months into the season to sign a contract, Bryant, 30, is walking into an almost flawless situation in New Orleans.

Instead, we'll be getting a Vikings-Bears game where first place in the NFC North will be on the line no matter what. The Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints game has been moved from noon CST on FOX to 3:25 p.m. on FOX.

Led by record-setting quarterback Drew Brees, the Saints rank seventh on offense overall, averaging 402.2 yards per game, and seventh in passing, averaging 289.9 yards.

The Saints play the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football one week from Thanksgiving (November 29) in Dallas, where Bryant will have the chance to face off against his former team.

"They're getting a great receiver".

"I'm really happy for him and that opportunity", Garrett said, via USA Today. "He's definitely a special player and I'm glad he got picked up and I'm glad something worked out for him".

New Orleans also has two games remaining against division rival Carolina (6-2).

Those numbers may not look as good as what fans have come to expect from Bryant over the years, but they are still a solid addition for an already dynamic Saints' offense. I think at the start of the season, we weren't in that position, and then all of a sudden a couple of guys get nicked up and there becomes a place for him.
