In the latest Overwatch short, McCree meets up with the old Deadlock Gang, Athena the robot, and the newest playable character - Ashe. Her newly minted hero page describes her as a legendary outlaw, and as a new DPS hero, she's got abilities to suit her reputation.

Ashe comes with a skill set that relies on a player's mechanical skills to some extent; her weapon, Viper, is a semi-automatic rifle that fires quick shots and needs to be reloaded one bullet at a time.

This year's BlizzCon kicks off on Friday with the annual opening ceremony starting at 11 a.m. PT, an event that is expected to be packed with news for all things Blizzard, including "Diablo", "Hearthstone", "Heroes of the Storm", "Overwatch", and "World of Warcraft". The enormous pushback can propel her into the air if shot at the ground and it can also push enemies away too similarly to Brigitte's flail. In the cinematic, Ashe and her gang fought with McCree over a mysterious container found in the wreckage of a newly-exploded train. Entitled "Reunion", the cinematic short takes place on the Western-themed Route 66 and finds the cyborg cowboy Jesse McCree (voiced by Critical Role's Matthew Mercer) squaring off with a hearty slice of apple pie, as well as members of villainous Deadlock Gang. More information about the new hero will be available at the Overwatch: What's Next panel happening today.
