Police say the building's first floor collapsed into the basement when the party goers were dancing.

At least 30 people were injured when a large portion of a floor at a party near Clemson University's campus collapsed, dropping people into the basement early Sunday morning.

Officers arrived to find multiple people hurt. A video clip taken moments later shows a screaming pile of people on the floor of the basement below, with some panicked partygoers attempting to climb out of a unsafe pit using remnants of the broken floor.

Police said the clubhouse at The Woodlands, about three miles from Clemson, had been leased for a private party. Details on the extent of the injuries were not immediately available.
