The woman identified as Teresa Klein, who is white, was being rung up at the front counter when the child, who is black, walked by.

The man who filmed the video, Facebook user Jason Stovetop Littlejohn, says that the young boy was falsely accused. She reportedly claimed the journalists "were harassing her and threatening her with violence".

"That's right. The son grabbed my a** and [the child's mother] chose to yell at me", Klein told the police, adding, "I've just been sexually assaulted by a child".

"I want the cops here right now!"

The woman identified as Theresa claimed the 9-year-old boy "grabbed my ass", but the footage shows him merely brushing against her - corroborating the claims of eyewitnesses inside the store who said the boy did not "assault" the woman.

Ms Klein can be seen making gestures after turning around to see who brushed past her and then arguing with the mother. She claimed she called the NYPD to allege that a 9-year-old boy grabbed her buttock as he walked behind her inside their local deli.

She also says she's gotten death threats since the incident, while community members say they hope the boy is fine. Klein spoke exclusively with PIX11 outside her home where she says she's been harassed after the video went viral.

"The son grabbed my ass and [the mother] chose to yell at me", Klein says in the video.

Klein told reporters that she has been threatened since the appearance of the video on Facebook - which had been viewed 5.6 million times by Saturday afternoon. In the video and in a subsequent interview with the station, she alleges the mother of the children escalated the situation. "And she made a decision to yell at me". I'm more than happy to submit the security tapes for evidence'. She can be heard through the door saying she'd called the police on them.

She has since returned to the store to review the CCTV footage.

"So insincere", said Jason LittleJohn.

Other bystanders approach the woman as the argument continues throughout the four-minute video, which cuts off without a resolution.

"Young man.I don't know your name but I'm sorry", Klein said to a reporter after viewing the footage. As you can see the kid is crying and the mom is upset, ' he wrote in the caption.

The New York City Police Department tells Yahoo Lifestyle that no related complaint reports are filed, although according to Pix11, officers did respond after the crowd had dispersed.
