Rapper Kanye West made a bee-line to the Apple store shortly after revealing his iPhone password on national television during an extended Oval Office rant along with President Trump.

"There was something about putting this hat on that made me feel like Superman", West said, as part of a lengthy monologue that touched on topics such as his mental health to employment, prison reform, and more.

When a reporter noted that Trump has said he supports stop-and-frisk, West said, "We're going to discuss it". "If you see a black family, it says, 'They're looting.' You see a white family, it says, 'They're looking for food.' And you know that it's been five days because most of the people are black".

West's first visit to Mr Trump was at his eponymous Manhattan skyscraper in 2016, a month after he won the election, but this was the rapper's first trip to the White House.

Much like his idol, Kanye kvetched about Saturday Night Live, insisting that satirizing the president puts America's status in the world at risk, rather than the president a guy who gets laughs in his face at the United Nations.

"He has to be the freshest, the flyest, the flyest planes, the best factories, and we have to make our core be in power", he said, banging his fist down on the oval office desk.

"I tell you what, that was pretty impressive", Trump said after West had finished speaking.

West also said the President is on a "hero's journey".

Glenn Greenwald and others with no stake in Trump were also unimpressed at this outburst of insensitivity among the professed tolerance, regardless of whether they believe Yeezus to be an authority on U.S. politics.

Netanyahu Says Israel Preparing for War With Gaza

They met Trump in the Oval Office, where West told reporters that Trump gave him " a Superman cape" to help do good.

Ryan, who appeared on CNN with host Wolf Blitzer to break down the meeting between Trump and West, brought up rapper Ray J, saying that he was "a little concerned" about the meeting. "That's from the heart".

"I love Hillary, I love everyone, right".

The President said during the White House meeting that he's "totally open" to an alternative to stop-and-frisk.

Trump, who has had low approval ratings from African-Americans, often links the support of West and Brown to his administration's relationship with the black community. "Look at this, Jared", he said.

The rapper joined President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Thursday, and in front of the press pool launched into a almost 30-minute diatribe about racism, employment and the benefits of mediation.

Kanye later said his 10-minute speech was "from the soul, I just channeled it". "You are tasting a fine wine that has multiple notes in it", he said.

Trump earlier this week called on Chicago to adopt the strategy, in which large numbers of people are temporarily detained, questioned and sometimes searched for drugs and weapons.
