After starting his reign with two consecutive defeats, Unai Emery has bounced back to oversee six wins in a row in all competitions.

The England global is yet to start a league match this campaign but did score after coming on as a substitute against West Ham last month. "He gives us his quality and commitment every day", the Arsenal boss told his post-match press conference. Also, it's more chances for us to find the first XI for the next matches with performances like todays.

"For us I am very happy".

"I think he is helping the team and we want this".

However, it was a more experienced head who proved to be the difference between the sides in the first half as Danny Welbeck grabbed two goals to give the Gunners the advantage at the break.

Welbeck's contract expires at the end of the current season and, although Emery is no longer directly involved in negotiations with players, he is keen to keep the 27-year-old.

"Their situation individually with the club is one thing for the club and for them", the Spaniard said.

Gareth Southgate will name his squad for the Nations League double-header against Croatia and Spain in the coming weeks, but Welbeck is keen to focus on his own game, rather than whether he has played enough to make the squad. I know they are in the past year of their contract with the team, and they are working and speaking with the club.

"And for Saturday, he's also another player that I can try, to help the first XI because he's doing very well, with a big commitment".
