The 6.5-inch model will reportedly be called the iPhone XS Max, as Apple drops the "Plus" moniker from the devices. The important thing is that Apple actually leaked an official press render of its new 5.8-inch iPhone XS and 6.5-inch iPhone XS, which was previously referred to as the "iPhone X Plus", so the phones' design is now confirmed.

The XS Max is set to have a bigger battery than the XS while both phones will have the new A12 processor, 4GB RAM space and OLED displays.

Apple will also be revealing a cheaper model with a 6.1-inch LCD screen. We'll find out the truth at the upcoming Apple event on September 12. The publication has since heard that Apple will likely use the name iPhone Xs Max for the larger 6.5-inch variant. The website claims that the 5.8-inch iPhone Xs will be priced at 909 euros (roughly Rs 76,000). Converting to Indian rupees, this comes to Rs 57,364 for the iPhone Xs, Rs 71,723 for the iPhone Xs Max and Rs 50,184 for the iPhone 9.

It's worth noting that prices may drop even further once the Apple announcement is made so, if you not in a hurry to upgrade, it could be worth holding on for a few more weeks. In this regard, 9to5Macis also reporting that the former will have a starting price of $699. The names are still a mystery, but for ease of understanding, we will tentatively call them the iPhone XS, XS Plus and X Lite.

The next-generation iPhone may be called "iPhone XS", according to a report from 9to5Mac. Those are certainly attractive price points, but there is also speculation that iPhone pricing this year will be higher than many are anticipating. This is a bit of a price reduction from last year's iPhone X, which launched at $999 for the 64GB model. Both models resemble the current iPhone X.

Just like the iPhone X, the iPhone XS will feature the Secure Enclave hardware-based key manager and Face ID biometric authentication.
