"There was a concept thrown out by some person - nine blacks against nine whites", Trump told Stern in the 2005 radio interview obtained by CNN.

She continued, "They just kind of detailed a guy over for just three months, I think, to do a little window dressing", and said, "There really is no real commitment to diversity in the White House and he's unapologetic about it because he's completely contradicted the commitment [to Black people] he made during the campaign".

Beyond the president's tweets, the White House has also pushed back on allegations found in Manigault Newman's book, though Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she "can't guarantee" a tape of Trump saying the n-word doesn't exist.

Manigault Newman, one of the only African-American women to have held a role in the Trump administration, was sacked in December by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, allegedly for misusing the White House vehicle service.

Maher gave his take on Omarosa's change of allegiance, saying "she lied for" Trump but adding "I don't care".

"On this phone conversation, I was told exactly what Donald Trump said - yes, the N-word and others in a classic Trump-goes-nuclear rant - and when he'd said them".

China says USA solar tariffs violate trade rules, lodges WTO complaint
President Donald Trump on Wednesday morning took to Twitter, as he often does, to lambaste some of his favourite targets: the U.S. China responded with similar penalties on American imports.

"Should you pursue litigation against S&S, we are confident that documents related to the contents of the Book in the possession of President Trump, his family members, his businesses, the Trump Campaign, and his administration will prove particularly relevant to our defense".

It's an offer that Manigault Newman characterized as "hush money" in an interview with MSNBC. In one from August previous year, she makes mention of "fake news", but then proceeds to catalogue a series of achievements by the president in a manner more enthusiastic than combative. "There are 30 assistants to the president right now and there are none representing the African-American community".

'I would say he is unfit to serve as the president of the United States.

Trump has ratcheted up the personal attacks on Twitter, calling Manigault Newman a "lowlife", "wacky and deranged' and a "dog".

Since releasing the tape of her firing, Manigault Newman has teased the possibility of making more recordings public.
