In the U.S. the OnePlus 6 now costs $529, meaning the new T model could be more expensive. OnePlus 6 is going to be no exception. According to the article, the 6T will be released later this year for $550 and have one huge perk: it'll be sold through T-Mobile.

The darling smartphone startup will reportedly launch its next smartphone, tentatively dubbed the "OnePlus 6T", with T-Mobile as its exclusive US carrier partner in October, according to CNET. Those are early numbers that could still change, but they line up with OnePlus' previous releases.

Although the publication did not clarify, this price is presumably for the entry-level model of the OnePlus 6T.

After mushrooming from an "invites only" smartphone manufacturer to a premium OEM with high-end specifications at affordable pricing smartphones, OnePlus has truly come a long way since its launch in 2014.

CNET is under the impression that OnePlus will still ship a regular unlocked version that will work on AT&T too.

People familiar with the launch plans say that T-Mobile will be the exclusive carrier partner for the OnePlus 6T. A rumor to take with a grain of salt. Indeed, most Americans still buy their smartphones from their carriers, and a smartphone's popularity is often dictated by it's availability at carrier stores. That's how much of a fan following OnePlus has. OnePlus phones don't have some of the bells and whistles like a 1440p display, wireless charging, and a microSD card slot, but the price is right. OnePlus is still in the process of getting what's known as "technical approval" at the carrier, according to one person.

The OnePlus 6 was also available in a variety of colours, giving users a ton of options to pick from in addition to incredible specs.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that it was beginning talks with USA carriers back at CES this past January, so while we've been expecting an announcement like this for some time, it's exciting to finally know that T-Mobile will be the company's launch partner in the U.S.
