The American, 37, converted a 20ft birdie putt on the final hole for the PGA Tour's first 59 in 2018.

Snedeker recovered from a bogey on the 10th, his opening hole, to card 10 birdies and an eagle at Sedgefield Country Club and set the early clubhouse target on 11 under par. He tore it up down the stretch with an 8-under 27 over his last nine holes, with 6 birdies and a 176-yard eagle hole-out at the par-4 6th.

Meanwhile, Players Champion Webb Simpson enters as the bookies favourites thanks to a successful history in Greensboro, but there are plenty of others flying under the radar this week who we think have a good shot at gaining their first PGA Tour victories (Niemnann, Schniederjans and Varner III).

"I've always enjoyed visiting and competing in Japan; therefore, I'm especially pleased that my partner of 25 years, Mastercard, will be bringing PGA TOUR Champions back to Japan in 2019", said Watson.

"My results, I think, have been a combination of what Brad has laid out for me as well as the hard work I've been putting in", Baddeley says of Malone, who he has worked with for nearly two years.

"When the 5-iron got close on seven, I was like 'Okay, you got to do it - it's not going to get any easier than this, '" he added.

In Sexist & Racist Attack, Trump Calls Omarosa "Crazed" and a "Dog"
In response to Omarosa's writing, Donald Trump has tweeted that she is a "dog" and a "crazed, crying lowlife". I don't think words like that should be used - especially by the president.

"I have no doubt I can get it done this week", Baddeley told AAP.

It's the tenth time that a sub-60 score has been posted (Jim Furyk has done it twice) and the first since Canada's Adam Hadwin manufactured a 59 in the third round of the 2017 CareerBuilder Challenge.

Only five players have gone on to win the tournament in which they shot 59, and Snedeker knew he had work to remain on top come Sunday. Furyk also shot 59 in the BMW Championship in 2013.

During his tie for 42nd at the PGA Championship last week in St. Louis, Snedeker says he "kind of found something" when he simplified some swing fundamentals and began to feel better about that part of his game.

"I knew one good week could lock up my card and I haven't been able to do that". "You've got to keep your head on straight and make sure you're still doing the right stuff and it'll eventually turn around".
