Manigault also claims there are tapes of Trump using the "N-word".

Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former reality TV star turned White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison said she declined a $15,000 a month offer from the Trump campaign after she was sacked from the White House.

After getting axed from her White House post, she said she got a job offer from Trump's re-election campaign, which came with a caveat - she would have to sign a non-disclosure agreement that included a "no disparagement" clause.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday he condemns "all types of racism and acts of violence", appealing for unity ahead of the anniversary of a deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. He goes on to say that things can get ugly for you.

"If I didn't have these recordings, no one in America would believe me", she said. "No one. So, I protected myself, and I'm so glad I did".

Manigault Newman did not reveal if she recorded the conversation on her cell phone or with another device, but critics were quick to point out that secretly taping anything in the Situation Room was against the rules and seemed like a security breach.

While Washington, DC requires one-party consent in order to record a conversation, the White House has different rules regarding due to national security issues.

Manigault Newman revealed on NBC's "Meet the Press" earlier Sunday that she had secretly recorded her dismissal by Kelly a year ago.

With the release of those tapes, the internet was left breathless.

Others are being denied by the White House, some more forcefully than others; a description about the drama of installing a tanning bed in the White House residence is untrue, officials insisted, claiming there is no such apparatus in Trump's home.

Manigault claims to have made multiple recordings during her time in the White House - transcripts of which appear in her upcoming book, Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House. She says that she saw the Commander-in-Chief eat a piece of paper after a meeting with his then personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

"We're not suggesting any legal action here", he said.

"I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation", she said.

On Friday, as excerpts from Manigault Newman's book emerged, the White House decried the author and the media for offering her their attention.

"I have never a single time heard (Trump) use a racial slur about anyone", she told ABC.

But CNN reports that The White House has called Omarosa a "disgruntled former employee" who is trying to make a buck off of fake stories.
