In the book, Manigault Newman, who was a contestant on Trump's "The Apprentice" reality show and later served as a senior adviser to the president, hurls a litany of allegations, painting the president as scattered, self-absorbed, misogynistic and insecure.

She alleges that, during the making of USA version of The Apprentice, which Trump fronted for several years, the future president muttered the racial slur "multiple times".

She also claims without evidence that tapes exist of the president using the N-word repeatedly on the reality show's set.

She also claims that she personally witnessed Trump use racial epithets about the White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband George Conway, who is half Filipino. However, the most unbelievable aspect of Unhinged are the rationalizations Omarosa makes about joining the administration in the first place, claiming that she only realized later that "was indeed a racist, a bigot and a misogynist".

The White House issued a blistering statement Friday on the impending release of Manigault Newman's "Unhinged", calling her a "disgruntled former White House employee" who is "trying to profit off of these false attacks".

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told reporters here in New Jersey, where Trump is on vacation, that the book is "riddled with lies and false accusations".

Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" rocked the West Wing when it hit shelves in January and caused Trump's inner circle to sever ties with Steve Bannon, his former chief strategist.

Manigault Newman also writes in her book that Trump campaign adviser and daughter-in-law Lara Trump offered her a $15,000-a-month hush-money contract after she was sacked by the White House, the Washington Post reported.

"I rejected what other people said about him because they didn't know him like I did. It must have been something very, very sensitive", she wrote, according to the Post.
