Kate Middleton & Prince Louis Are All Smiles in New Christening Photo

In the new portrait, the Duchess of Cambridge beams as she holds her third child close. But for some royals fans, the shot of just mother and son was the standout of the set.

An additional fifth official photo was released yesterday of the Duchess of Cambridge holding Prince Louis with a wide smile on his face.

The official images, taken by photographer Matt Holyoak inside the Morning Room at Clarence House, shows intimate moments from the prince's big day.

Not present at the service were his great grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, though their absence had reportedly "been mutually agreed by the Queen and the Cambridges some time ago" and was "not made on health grounds".

There has been something of a royal baby boom in recent months, and it extends to those beyond members of the family, it seems.

A larger group photo included Kate's parents, Carole and Michael, and her siblings, Pippa Middleton and James William Middleton.
