Nine people are hospitalized, some seriously, after a man went on a stabbing spree at an apartment complex in Boise, Idaho, that is home to many refugee families, police said. Local media reports state that four of the victims have life-threatening injuries. Three adults who came to their defense were also hurt. Bones said Kinner had a lengthy criminal record that included weapons charges and arrests for "violence against others" and had served prison time in Kentucky. Police arrested the suspect and said he had targeted a 3-year-old's birthday party.

Kinner, 30, of Los Angeles, was booked into the Ada County Jail on Saturday night.

Police say the suspect in a mass stabbing at an Idaho apartment complex had only been in Boise a short time when the attack occurred Saturday night. He is not an immigrant and went on the rampage a day after being asked to leave by one of the residents, police said. Officials said Kinner is not a refugee. It was not immediately clear whether all of the victims are refugees.

Still, Bones said, it is one of several possibilities that remain under investigation.

"You can imagine this is a very tight-knit community here in this apartment complex", he added. Witnesses told police that a male suspect had fled the scene, heading toward State Street.

Police say Kinner returned Saturday, when the girl was having her party a few doors down from where he had stayed. When they arrived they found stabbing victims both inside the complex and in the vehicle park; Kinner was arrested a short distance away.

Divisive Supreme Court decisions are more likely to be re-examined - and possibly overturned - when a court changes. While Kennedy was a conservative, he proved to be a somewhat unpredictable "swing" vote over his long career.

Annapolis newspaper shooting suspect ID'd as Jarrod W. Ramos
The suit was dismissed by a judge who wrote Ramos had not shown "anything that was published about you is, in fact, false". In a subsequent tweet, Davis said he heard the sound of the gunman reloading what authorities later said was a shotgun.

The national media quickly seized on the fact that the apartment complex was known to house refugees and that some of the victims themselves were apparently refugees.

Additional officers found the nine victims inside the apartments and in the complex's parking lot. Investigators recovered the knife he was believed to have used in a nearby canal, Bones said.

Kinner was due to appear in court on Monday.

Boise Mayor David Bieter made the following statement Sunday regarding last night's knife attack at the Wylie Street Station Apartments: "Last night's horrific attack does not represent Boise". "Please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers".

Victim-witness coordinators and counselors will help victims and witnesses, police said.
