The six men arrested in Paterson Sunday appeared in court Tuesday to face charges for the brutal slaying of a 15-year-old boy in the Bronx in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity.

The NYPD and the Paterson Police Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment on reports of additional arrests made.

Most of the killing was captured on video as the suspects are seen dragging the teen out of a bodega and stabbing him in the neck, with one of the suspects using a machete.

So far, the NYPD has charged 19-year-old Kevin Alvarez with murder and gang assault, FOX 5 NY reported.

The murderers may have been seeking revenge on a similar-looking youth, for making a raunchy sex video featuring one of the gangster's relatives - but attacked Guzman-Feliz instead.

It is not clear whether the members of the Trinitarios gang - a Dominican gang based out of New York's Rikers Island prison - are American citizens.

According to reports, Lesandro Guzman-Feliz was stabbed multiple times with a machete after getting into an argument with a group of men in a bodega near his home in the Bronx Wednesday night (Jun. 20).

Police release a video surveillance showing a man in the red T-shirt as part of a group of men who allegedly hacked Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, 15, with a knife to death in the Bronx on June, 2018.

"When you look at where he was assaulted and the proximity of the hospital, it explains the nature of the wounds - that he expired so quickly", said NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea. He remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The leader of the Trinitarios gang apologized on Facebook, saying the vicious killing resulted from a case of mistaken identity, WPIX reported. "My son was my son, but he was my best friend", Lisandro Guzman told the Daily News.

Guzman-Feliz was a sophomore at the Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School. That's the only thing that can bring me back to life, real life. "They killed an innocent little child", Lesandro's mother Leandra Feliz said after arrests. In a statement, the school said they were "heartbroken" at the loss of the teen, while confirming they will be paying for his funeral expenses.

"I'm very thankful for the support from everybody". Somebody had to show my son to those people.
