Rajinikanth's Kaala Karikalan To Release In Bangalore Theatres Post 11am?

Enthusiasm was seen among Rajinikanth's fans in Mumbai who queued up in large numbers outside a movie theatre to watch "Kaala". However, fans of Rajinikanth celebrated the release of "Kaala" in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. Reports suggest that "Kaala" is Rajinikanth's biggest release in the USA so far and has superseded "Kabali".

The usual buzz around a Rajinikanth film was missing for Kaala till recently due to the low-key promotions.

"This is HUGE! #Kaala is the FIRST ever Indian film to be released in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia!", Wunderbar Fims, the production company owned by actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya said on Twitter.

Upset over the 67-year-old actor-politician's remarks, the highest film body of Karnataka, Karnataka Film Chambers of Commerce, banned the movie.

"Kaala", which is facing massive protest in Karnataka by pro-Kannada activists, created history by becoming the first Indian film to be screened in deeply conservative country after the return of cinema.

Barring the state, the film released worldwide today amid much fanfare.

"We are telling them that the issue of sharing Cauvery water is more important than the film", he said.

Meanwhile, theatres in Karnataka are avoiding screening "Kaala", amid protests.

Police on guard outside Lido Mall in Bengaluru following protestes by pro Kannada groups against the release of Rajinikanth's latest movie Kaala on Thursday.

Many fans who bought the tickets online for the show on Wednesday were disappointed as they could not watch their favourite superstar's film.

While it's believed that Kaala will also help boost Rajinikanth's political career now that it's finally begun.
