Warriors to activate Patrick McCaw for Game 6 of Western Conference finals

The Houston Rockets, playing without injured All-Star point guard Chris Paul, waltzed into Golden State Saturday and punched the Warriors in the mouth to the tune of a 39-22 first-quarter lead in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals.

With the Warriors up 86-69 on the Kings in the waning seconds of the third quarter March 31, McCaw caught a pass from Jordan Bell, made a layup and was inadvertently undercut by Sacramento's Vince Carter.

McCaw received loud cheers both when he checked in and after he made his shot. "(If) we take the same focus and execute the game plan like we should I have all the confidence in the world in this team".

Whatever happened to EG3 in the second half, he was lights out in the first, hitting threes and getting to the basket.

"He's gotten a lot better over the last couple weeks", Kerr said about McCaw before Game 6.

This will be Curry's fourth career Game 7 and second on the road. They need to do that one more time to reach the Finals. When your back's against the wall, if your shot's not falling, you can always control your passion and how hard you play. The Warriors were facing elimination down 3-2 in that game, just like Saturday night.

There is still no word on whether or not Paul will be well enough in time to play Game 7 on Monday, but things don't look great.

I can already sense you looking at the title and asking yourself the same question. Sympathy for Golden State's plight is likely to be scarce, given Paul's absence for Houston, but Golden State has clearly missed Iguodala's settling nature and passing instincts against Houston's unrelenting physicality.

Don't get it confused. "These owners don't love America more than the players demonstrating and taking real action to improve it". For those that refuse to follow the new rules, teams - not players - will be fined for actions deemed as disrespectful.

"I mean, I guess you could say I was born for it", Thompson said after the game, per ESPN's Chris Haynes.

James Harden, who has struggled offensively in the last two games and went zero for 11 on 3s in Game 5, rolled his eyes when asked if Paul's injury puts more pressure on him.

Tickets for Game 7 are on sale at the Rockets' website.

But they'll have a hard task as Houston will have home-court advantage and are determined to knock off the champs. Harden finished the game with 32 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. "As I said, the two-way ability of this guy hounding the MVP of the league, most likely, all game, and continuing to rain down 3-pointers, he's incredible".

Game 6 in Oakland didn't quite go as planned.

Amusing you should ask because I have no idea why I'm writing this as well.

Thompson came through with his best performance of these playoffs with the season on the line, just as he did in a 2016 Game 6 of the Western Conference finals at Oklahoma City when he went off for 41 points against Durant and the Thunder to force Game 7.

"Nothing changes for us", Harden said.
