No fewer than eight women have accused actor Morgan Freeman of inappropriate behavior and harassment while working with them on film sets or at promotional events.

The woman in the video is an entertainment reporter Chicago's WGN-TV, Tyra Martin, who interviewed Freeman many times over a 10 year period. She says that Freeman only stopped after co-star Alan Arkin "made a comment telling him to stop".

"You've got magic written all over you child", Freeman tells her.

The accounts go on to include several mentions of "unsolicited touching", ogling, asking women to "twirl" and, in one case, Freeman directly asking a female employee, while looking her "up and down", "How do you feel about sexual harassment?".

16 people - eight witnesses and eight who claim to be victims - spoke to CNN about the actor's problematic behavior, which spans throughout his career.

The women accused the veteran actor of touching them without consent, making inappropriate comments about their bodies, unwanted staring and even attempting to lift their skirts.

She told, "He did comment on our bodies".

Then, during his 79 birthday party, a former executive of Revelations Entertainment recounted that Freeman approached female employees and stood "maybe within an inch of their face and just look them up and down and not say anything, and then would move on to the next woman and he'd stand like within an inch of their face and look them up and down and not say anything, and it was really, really odd".

One of the women claims that Freeman frequently touched her against her will and made comments about her figure and clothing while she worked as a production assistant for the film Going in Style.

He won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for 2004's "Million Dollar Baby", and has earned four other Oscar nominations.
