Four children among seven dead in mass Western Australia tragedy

Katrina Miles and her four children, aged eight to 13, were found dead, along with two other people, by police early on Friday morning in what appears to be a murder suicide.

He said a "male person" connected to the property had phoned police shortly before they attended.

Friday, may 11 the police in Western Australia had received an anonymous call reporting the shooting incident in a rural area near Osmington to the North-West of the town of Margaret river.

The deaths have traumatised the village of Osmington, 20km from tourist spot Margaret River, with just 135 residents. Two adults lay on the outside, and another adult and four children inside the building.

"This is a horrific incident", Chief Commissioner Chris Dawson said.
