Despite allegations of sexual harassment that prompted him to leave the Amazon show Transparent, Jeffrey Tambor will return to Arrested Development for its upcoming fifth season. The actor was recently dropped from Amazon Studios' "Transparent" after he was accused of sexual misconduct; he has repeatedly denied the claims.

The Emmy-winning Transparent star was sacked in February following a three-month investigation into allegations that he had sexually harassed a Transparent guest star and a former assistant, leading to questions about his role in the upcoming season of Arrested Development.

Netflix's decision to keep Tambor on board marks a contrast in comparison to the streaming service's handling of misconduct allegations against other male actors/comedians.

Jeffrey Tambor will still appear in Arrested Development Season 5.

The allegations against Tambor were made in November of past year by Van Barnes, Tambor's former personal assistant, and Trace Lysette, a guest star on the show. It's also worth noting this caused a much bigger problem for Netflix since House of Cards has been one of Netflix's signature shows and Spacey's ousting naturally caused a major possibly shark jumping level upheaval for the show moving forward. "But I have never been a predator - ever", he said in a statement at the time. She is a father that comes out to her wife and children about being transgender. She said that Tambor leaned his body against her and made thrusting motions against her body. "I felt his penis on my hip through his thin pajamas".

Additionally, Tambor's former assistant Van Barnes made allegations that Tambor groped her, made lewd comments and threatened to sue if she told anyone. Alia Shawkat voiced her support for the women who accuse Tambor in late April and said she found the news disappointing. "I am deeply sorry if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being sexually aggressive or if I ever offended or hurt anyone".

Filming on Netflix's "Arrested Development" - with Tambor on board - wrapped up that same month, leaving fans to wonder how or if the allegations would impact the series' long-awaited return.
