Police hunt 'DANGEROUS 80-YEAR-OLD' after California apartment complex SHOOTING

It happened just before 3:40 p.m., according to a Marin County Sheriff's Department statement.

Deputies are responding to an active shooter at a Mill Valley apartment complex this afternoon.

"A perimeter was set up as authorities searched for the gunman, described as an 80-year-old Hispanic man, approximately 5'5" tall, wearing a white t-shirt. They believe he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

An elderly man who police consider armed and risky is being sought following a shooting at a Marin apartment complex.

The suspected gunman was spotted fleeing into an apartment at the complex and deputies evacuated nearby units, surrounded the area and urged other residents to shelter in place.

'First deputies on scene grabbed the two victims and carried them out of the scene to waiting ambulances, ' Marin County Sheriff's Sgt. Brenton Schneider told CBS.

"We have a good perimeter of where we believe the suspect to be", Schneider told the Times.
