Predators even series after Fiala's game winning goal

The Predators racked up an impressive 25-9-7 record living out of hotels and getting mocked by opposing fans during the 2017-18 campaign.

The last team to beat the Jets in Winnipeg was Nashville, with a 6-5 win on February 27.

That's their 13th-straight home win. With that in mind, he was about as unsung a hero as the Bruins could have found in Game 5 of the first round last season, during which he scored two goals, including the tying tally and overtime victor.

With the win, the Jets took a 2-1 series lead with Game 4 back at Bell MTS Place on Thursday. "Great play by Kyle (Turris) to chip it (forward)". You're there for hockey.

You may even get to see Byfuglien dance.

The big defenseman celebrated by removing a glove and dancing - a far cry from the playful punches he threw at teammates after Winnipeg tied Game 2 late in regulation. The Jets did a brilliant job of activating their defence in this game, with all six players taking pucks deep into the Nashville zone and creating scoring chances.

"We just regrouped. It wasn't really any different in here than if it was a tie game or if we were winning". They're allowing the Jets to get easy scoring chances and not have to work hard to get them. "But we played a better game (Sunday) than we did on Friday". He's going to settle down and get back to Vezina form.

Just over five minutes later Blake Wheeler was called for tripping and Nashville converted. When you play inconsistently against a team of Winnipeg's magnitude, you find yourself in a lot of trouble.

Expect another fast-paced, back and forth game from the Jets and the Preds. Perreault was not wearing the yellow non-contact jersey he had been wearing for the last week.

At this point, Bell MTS Place was a morgue.

Dmitry Kulikov, out since early March with a back injury, took part in his first skate with the group and wore a yellow "no-contact" jersey but likely won't be available to the club for another couple of weeks. Paul Stastny had a goal and two assists is just 16 minutes and 41 seconds and was plus three. Perreault wore a regular jersey, while Armia sported yellow. Players can whack each other with their sticks repeatedly, right in front of the ref, and it's not a penalty.

Brazilian surfer rides world record wave in Portugal
The new record holder, Rodrigo Koxa , broke the previous record held by Garrett McNamara since 2011 by two feet. Koxa apparently had some company on his wave, although the bird flying alongside him wasn't honored.

"I don't think it's any surprise to anyone".

"(I) probably should have thrown my mask to get their attention", Rinne said.

It was a truly inspiring night for the Jets.

Jacob Trouba said it was, indeed, a day to recover, physically and mentally. "It's too bad we didn't get the win". "It's good that they are on our side".

It was a good tilt and it got the crowd going but why would Jacob Trouba want to fight a guy like Nick Bonino less than two minutes into the third period with the Jets ahead by just one goal? It was the first goal of the playoffs for Carrie Underwood's husband.

The first overtime period was action packed, but featured no goals.

Mark Scheifele of Kitchener, Ontario is leading the 2018 National Hockey League Stanley Cup playoffs in goals with eight as of April 29. They do it in Game 3 behind one of Rinne's top playoff performances.

"I'll fire out a bunch of clichés at you, that it's a team-sport concept. So, Connor hasn't scored but Mark Scheifele clearly has", he said. It was Fiala's third goal of the postseason and his most important as it ended a marathon of a game and sent the Predators on the road with the series tied at 1-1.

He said he's learning things in his second career playoff series.

"The goals now will draw the camera to him".

"That's the way we look at it", he said.
