Prince William shares update on newborn son, hints at baby names

The boy, weighing eight pounds and seven ounces (3.8kg), was born at 11.01am (1001 GMT) on Monday with William present for the birth.

The baby's name will be shared first with the Queen before being announced to the public, with family members remaining tight-lipped about the final decision.

Charlotte made such an impression on the public that her blue floral dress - made by Little Alice London - sold out in all sizes, according to the Daily Mail.

The duke replied: "Well, it's amusing you should say that".

Kate Middleton gave birth to her son on Monday, April 23, but she has not yet announced the name of her newborn.
