Airlines warned of possible missile launches into Syria

Donald Trump has told Russian Federation to "get ready" for missiles fired into Syria, saying "they will be coming".

Trump said earlier this month - before the weekend's suspected chemical attack on civilians at the hands of the Assad regime - that he wanted to withdraw United States troops from Syria.

US military officials are probably planning for a larger, more robust strike than the one USA warships launched April 7, 2017, in response to the Syrian regime's use of chemical weapons, said a former senior Defense official familiar with planning for that attack.

Experts on Russia's powerful air defenses in Syria told Business Insider that the US would not easily defeat the Russian arsenal.

Trump did, however, suggest that he would attempt to increase pressure on Assad's allies in Russian Federation and Iran, tweeting Sunday that there would be a "big price to pay" for those who support the Syrian government.

If the reported mail-in ballots from Russia's recent election are any indication, there are well over 2,000 Russian forces now stationed in Syria to support the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph has reported that British submarines are being moved within "missile range" of Syria - and that military action could start on Thursday night.
