Tyler man charged with robbery for stealing $2 beer, fight with clerk

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man they suspect robbed a Medford convenience store at knifepoint last week.

Police say the robbers took the victims' cell phones and money before fleeing from the scene. Police said Lamore was wanted by way of warrant on charges of robbery with violence or threats, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and disguise with intent.

After receiving the money, the suspect left in a dark colored vehicle but the make and model is not known, the department said in a news release.

He was described to police as a white man; 5 feet, 9 inches tall; about 170 pounds; with brown hair and hazel eyes.

According to the clerk, the suspect had also entered the store several hours before the robbery and shoplifted cigarettes.
