This line will contain storms that could produce strong to severe winds and very heavy rain. A strengthening low-level jet from the south along with a developing area of low pressure to our west will bring widespread rain across southeastern MI.

Wednesday will be a blustery day with winds sustained around 15 to 20 miles per hour with gusts around 30 miles per hour. Even outside of thunderstorms we could get winds gusts up to 40 miles per hour. Through the afternoon, we'll see an upper level disturbance drift in from the southwest. It's all thanks to a warm front that will lift through the region tonight, bringing a surge of warmer air and the potential for severe thunderstorms, especially after Midnight. The difference between those two risks are not significant; everyone in the Tennessee Valley stands a chance at a few severe storms this evening. "SPC says: ".a risk of tornadoes (some strong) and large hail from northwest AR/western MS into parts of southern IL/IN and western KY. This will provide plenty of energy for storms to intensify as they move through the Mid-South. Look for a high temperature on Sunday in the low to mid 70s. Saturday looks to be damp and dreary, with highs struggling to even reach the mid-60s.
