New Jersey lottery player wins Mega Millions jackpot

The largest prize in game history was recorded in 2012 when the jackpot reached $656 million. The lone winning lottery ticket was sold in New Jersey, though no one has claimed it yet.

One very lucky person who bought a Mega Millions ticket in New Jersey is now a multi-millionaire - he or she is the single victor of the $521 million jackpot. The jackpot had a cash value of $317 million.

Lottery officials say the ticket, sold in New Jersey, matched all six of the numbers that were drawn: 11, 28, 31, 46, 59 and gold Mega Ball 1.

One ticket each with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were sold in OH and Texas.
