Mohamed Salah struck his 32nd goal in all competitions as second-place Liverpool breezed past Newcastle.

As ever, the top-flight has produced some superb individual performances this season with the likes of Liverpool's Salah, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane of Tottenham impressing.

"There are a few good players this season in the Premier League - and for sure I forgot a few".

Son Heung-min, vying for league player of the year honors with Salah, took his goal tally for the campaign to 15 with a double blast in Tottenham's triumph over Huddersfield at Wembley Stadium.

Mohamed Salah continued his remarkable scoring run as Liverpool beat Newcastle 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

As well as Salah, the player to have really stepped up in Coutinho's absence is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. If you only can be really happy if you have one point more than Man City that would be hard for all other teams in the world at this moment so why should we be bothered by that? If he [Salah] can win this competition then he deserves it.

"It was a hard game, we knew it was going to be beforehand and we felt it during the game", Liverpool manager Klopp told BT Sport. I'm not sure. But the performance was okay (against Burnley on New Year's Day) so it didn't start immediately pointing on this thing and saying "without Coutinho they are not creative, they can not do this, they can not do that".

"But with respect to the Belgian, the more I assess Salah's contribution, the more I feel he deserves to push de Bruyne far closer than I imagined".

Catalan parliamentary legal experts and the Spanish government as well rejected the notion of him governing from Brussels. He subsequently fled into self-imposed exile in Brussels.

"Not only him, there are a few more players".

"Kevin has got everything".

"I love the goals he's scored, I love his assists. I try my best and try to be ready at all times", Son said.

Added Klopp: "Look, if he was not a good goalkeeper, I would be the biggest idiot in world football if I line him up".

"It's better that they had the finish and he could make the save than if they couldn't have shot the ball at the goal because then nobody speaks about the goalkeeper, so it's good".

In the wake of those reports, the ex-Figueirense hitman suggested he had no plans to become the latest high profile figure to leave Liverpool and paid tribute to manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds legend told Liverpool's website: "When Juergen signed him, he said to him, 'I don't want you stuck out wide on the wings creating for other people, I want you to be the main man".

Any team would miss Coutinho, but Liverpool have adjusted to life without him seamlessly.
