Alcatel is also launching two cheap tablets running 8.1 Oreo.

"As we introduce an all-new direction for our smartphone portfolio, we remain focused and committed to pushing the boundaries of what an affordably priced smartphone can be, providing even richer experiences and flagship-style designs for our customers around the globe".

One of Google's big initiatives for 2018 is Android Go, a lite version of Android 8 Oreo that is optimized for phones with 1 GB of RAM or less. Here's an overview of all the devices. Besides, it has announced Alcatel 1X, two kid-friendly tablets and three phones under Alcate 3-series. It is also the costliest among the lot priced at Euro 229.99.

Alcatel 3X has a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440X720 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and the same processor as the Alcatel 3. The 3V is €190, the 3X is €180 and the entry-level model 3 is €150.The 3V has a rear-facing dual-lens camera system and costs less than the 5 series model.

On the camera front, there is a 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras and a 5MP single selfie camera. The device comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car to end discounts for NRA members
Marco Rubio broke with an NRA stance when he announced he would support raising the age from 18 to 21 for "buying a rifle". Activists have also called on public pension funds to divest from gun maker stocks, which were broadly lower on Friday.

The Alcatel 1X looks and feels as "budget" as you'd expect from a phone that retails for 100 euros, but its saving grace might be the fact that it actually runs Oreo. It has a processor, but it's only a quad-core MediaTek 1.28GHz chip. It runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box.

Of particular note with the Alcatel 3V is the price, which Australians will see later in the year for $199. They all have numerous same features, like the 18:9 FullView display, facial recognition, and a commitment to Android software updates, but there are a few key differences depending on which model you opt for. It is powered by the same processor as the Alcatel 3 with 3Gb of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Up front, there's a 5-megapixel sensor. Under the hood, MediaTek MT8735A quad-core SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. A 3000 mAh battery is there in the phone that comes with Face Unlock feature. The Alcatel 3V will be available in Spectrum Black, Spectrum Blue, and Spectrum Gold color options.

Alcatel is getting MWC 2018 started early with its announcements of a bevy of new Android smartphones. It has a 5.3-inch 18:9 screen, but it's only 960×480 in resolution. The phone will come in 3 GB and 2 GB RAM models with 32 GB and 16 GB storage respectivly.

Based on variants, there is either an 8-megapixel or 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera. It also includes Google Assistant for Android Go.

For those interested, the phone will be available this April. On the software side, this device is running Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). The device comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ 18:9 display and is powered by MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor.
