Apple will probably launch two new iPads soon

It appears that the launch may not be that far off as Apple's worldwide regulatory filings have revealed at least two new iPad models. First spotted by French blog Consomac, this filing shows that the EEC has given Apple the authorization to market new products. They're also confirmed to be tablets running iOS 11, which sounds an bad lot like an iPad to me.

According to the latest rumors, Apple is planning to re-introduce the iPad Pro series, the same way that the company has presented the iPhone X to the public. But the timing of the new filings suggests Apple will release two new models sooner than that window.

Apple has also secured permission to bring several iPad and iPhone "samples" into the region, with "CC" and "AA" prefixes in front of their model numbers.

iPad models with Face ID have been billed as launching sometime in the second half of 2018.

OLYMPIC ROUNDUP: Two more medals push Canada into third place
The teams were tied 2-2, and Canada had a distinct advantage known as the hammer, the right to throw the final rock of the end. USA skipper Nina Roth admitted, "We played earlier this morning, and we know the stones were a little different today".

The iPad refresh is expected to be a significant step forward, since code in the iOS 11.3 betas refers to a "Modern" model.

For some perspective, consider the iPhone 7 and the AirPods. Instead Apple probably has a regular boring refresh that upgrades the internal specs and not much else - much like it did last March, provided you ignore the 9.7-inch iPad Pro was launched around then. The company launched the $329 9.7-inch iPad in March a year ago.

If the rumored iPad is indeed coming this March, the question is whether Apple plans to hold an event to officially launch it or announce it quietly through its website. We struggle to see that particular connection as Apple already debuted the 2017 iPad with just a press release, no associated event fanfare.
