The event was a star-studded affair, drawing dozens of A-list celebrities sporting black, including Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan.

The reason was simple.

Mother of 4 year old, Prince George of Cambridge and 2 years old Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, Kate Middleton is expecting her third child. She also paired her flowing Jenny Packham gown with a black belt - perhaps a subtle nod to the empowering Time's UP campaign.

While the 2017 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) were teaming with famous faces and fresh talent, Kate Middleton undoubtably stole the show on the red carpet past year. The royals had the best seats at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and were welcomed by BAFTA chief executive Amanda Berry.
