Iran, India vow to boost all-out ties

Both countries also agreed to intensify and diversify the existing high-level engagement and chose to convene within this year the meeting of the India-Iran Joint Commission and all its working groups, Foreign Office Consultations as well as a dialogue between institutions on defence and national security of the two countries.

According to New Delhi, Iran has shifted the goalposts several times since the start of negotiations on the deal in 2007. According to analysts, the change in stance is also due to the United States presence in Afghanistan that Russian Federation and Iran are watching warily given that neither have a good relationship with Washington. "All military centres were in total control of the US", Rouhani said.
