Apps become unresponsive, including Apple's iMessage and third-party applications like WhatsApp, Gmail and Messenger, the report said.

As opposed to stuffing a bunch of new tools into the annual software release, the company is allegedly focusing on the perfection of tools in order to reduce bugs and increase the general quality.

Apple users are at risk of catching the "Telugu Crash Bug" if they come in contact with a particular Unicode character from an Indian language. This bug has caused apps like Messages to crash on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, causing frustration for many users.

The iOS Springboard crashes upon receiving the message. Apple has responded just recently that it is now working on a fix for the bug for iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4 and tvOS 11, confirming that the bug will cripple not just Apple smartphones, but nearly all of the company's other products as well.

The device would only open the iMessages when another friend sent a message and tried to delete the thread which had the bad character.

For its part, Apple has fixed many of these problesm. That bug is still present after the update and appears to relate entirely to how iOS handles the character rather than the individual app. However, reports have surfaced of late that suggest Apple is concerned about the number of issues affecting iOS.

This is not the first time Apple has had issues with uncommon characters. Moreover, upon restarting the devices, the users will be unable to open the Messages app, as it will try to load the character but refuse to function properly.

This symbol, one of 60 used in the Telugu tongue, can not be fully recognized by the Apple devices.

Earlier this year, a software developer discovered it was possible to make iPhones freeze up by sending a simple link to an iPhone owner. Apple is now looking into the issues to reinstate the architecture of the software in the eyes of the public and make the updates, more efficient and stable. The company has adjusted its approach and has promised not to rush to release features in iOS going forward in hopes of cutting back on cutting corners, which will hopefully result in fewer issues like this one.
