The warrant details how Turney and Free awoke in their home at around 3:40 a.m., January 26, to the sound of breaking glass followed by a gunshot.

But part of that investigation includes assistance from homicide detectives with the Albuquerque Police Department who served a search warrant on Giles' Northwest Albuquerque apartment a couple of days after the shooting.

According to court documents, Giles opened fire when Jackson demanded him to stop the vehicle.

Police later searched Giles' home and mobile phone where they found more evidence of his obsession with Ms Turney.

An armed man drove 11 hours to break into the home of two YouTube personalities, forcing them to hide in a closet until police arrived and shot the home invader dead.

TEXAS police have said a "disturbed fan" broke into the home of a YouTube celebrity couple armed with a gun and fired at least one shot inside the home.

Police determined "it was apparent that Giles' sole intent was to cause harm to someone who resides there", KVUE reported.

Supreme Court Releases Majority Opinion in Redistricting Case
The court found the state's congressional district boundaries to be unconstitutionally gerrymandered to benefit Republicans. Pennsylvania's congressional districts have always been recognized as among the most gerrymandered in the United States.

Free and Turney have not responded to interview requests about the incident, but both have tweeted to assure their fans that they're doing OK and thank Austin police for their response.

Gavin Free is the creator of the Slow Mo Guys channel on YouTube along with Daniel Gruchy; the duo created a YouTube ad-supported original series that launched last month.

By the time the police arrived - which Free estimates was just four minutes later - Giles had given up searching for the couple, and had returned to his auto in an attempt to drive away.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office's preliminary findings suggest that the fatal gunshot sustained by Giles may have been self-inflicted. It seems like he envied Free's aspirational lifestyle and his romantic relationship with Turney.

Investigators later found that Giles had "developed a fondness" for 30-year-old Turney, but despised Free. People whom police interviewed - who were not named in the warrant - described Giles as single, lonely and disturbed, the document says.

The couple addressed the incident on Twitter Tuesday. The search revealed Giles "was an avid player of video games and was known for watching YouTube videos".

"I want to give a huge thanks to Austin Police for the wonderful response time".
