Russian Federation meddled in United States election, George W. Bush says

Bush said in Abu Dhabi at a summit put on by the Milken Institute, an economic think tank based in California.

"But they meddled and that is risky for democracy", he said, adding that Russian Federation had done the same thing during the Cold War and was adept at trying to manipulate opinion in the United States and Europe.

He also said it isn't clear if the meddling affected the outcome of the election but that it's "problematic that a foreign nation is involved in our election system". Our democracy is only good if people trust the results.

The U.S. intelligence community confirmed that Russian Federation interfered in the election, though it's up for debate whether the meddling helped Trump win the election.

Speaking of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr. "He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election".

In an apparent criticism of the immigration policies of U.S. President Donald Trump, Mr. Special counsel Robert Mueller has not yet announced whether he has evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation. "The reason he does this is because he is upset by the fall of the Soviet Union. Therefore, much of his moves [are] to regain Soviet hegemony", he said.

"Bigotry seems emboldened. Our politics seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication", said Bush during a speech in NY last October.

Bush acknowledged that he tried to overhaul America's "broken" immigration system, but failed.

"The Russian government has made a project of turning Americans against each other, " Bush said during a forum in NY in October. "We ought to say thank you and welcome them". He pleaded guilty in 1990 to six felonies and agreed to pay $600 million in penalties to settle a massive Wall Street fraud case.
