After over a month of playing in a World Cup, this was Sangha's moment to reflect what his team did right and how they overcame tough challenges - none more so than the quarter-final against England, when they defended 128.

Indian opening batsman Manjot Kalra grabbed the eyeballs with his unbeaten101-run knock as the Men in Blue chased down the target of 217 in just 38.5 overs in the finals of the ICC U-19 World Cup.

Celebrations broke out at the society in Mohali where the family of young cricketer Shubman Gill stays after India today lifted the U-19 World Cup trophy.

Harvik Desai had butter fingers behind the stumps - he dropped three chances in all - and there were a couple of overthrows that saw them needless concede runs, all of which allowed Australia to get off to a good start in front of a buzzing crowd at the Bay Oval.

Rahul Dravid, who coached this side to World Cup glory, said: "Really proud of the boys and the effort they put in".

India and Australia are the two most successful teams in the history of the tournament having won the coveted trophy thrice each. They had earlier won the title in 2000, 2008 and 2012. The Indians had lost to the West Indies in the final of the last edition in Bangladesh. Another fast bowler in the team, Ishan Porel then ran through Pakistan as the team from across the border succumbed to 69 all out. This is the second time that India have defeated Australia in the final.

The Chicago Bulls agree to trade Nikola Mirotic to the Pelicans
Is all that worth a pick in the middle of the first round? That was a sticking point in getting the deal done a few days ago. To make room on their roster, the Bulls will reportedly release Quincy Pondexter , according to Wojnarowski's report.

India's top order has been in scintillating form throughout the tournament led by Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill but that did not seem to bother Sangha. In the process, he shared a 180-run stand for the first wicket with Manjot Kalra to take India to 328-7.

"I enjoyed it a lot", added man of the match Kalra. Desai hit the winning boundary, sending the team members and the packed crowd into frenzy.

At 32 Australia was at 0 wickets but to reach the score at 59 Australia had loosed its 3 wickets.

Australia, who had little hesitation in batting first, were guilty of not converting starts into big partnerships.

However, Jonathan and Param Uppal played the strong partnership of 75 runs and bring up Australia again in the match.

However, the momentum shifted hugely into India's favour when Shiva (2/36) set up Sweeney to have the batsman caught and bowled, leaving Australia at 183 for five. He drove through the line beautifully in languid style, and even went aerial, hitting the long ball down the ground. Kalra remained unbeaten on 101 as Rahul Dravid's boys clinched a record fourth title.
