Samuel Eto'o Joins Konyaspor

Samuel Eto'o has joined the 12th club of his professional career after signing for Konyaspor from rivals Antalyaspor on a two-and-a-half year contract.

The 36-year-old joins from fellow Turkish side Antalyaspor, who are only one point above his new club in the table.

Nasri moved to Antalyaspor for a reported $NZD5.8 million, but has only made eight appearances in the Super Lig, the last of those coming in November against Fenerbahce.

The statement said: 'We have parted ways with our captain Samuel Eto'o by mutual consent.

Eto'o won the Champions League twice during a five-year stint with Barca and he also won Europe's top prize while with Inter Milan in 2010.

Eto'o, who had previously played in Spain, Russia, England and Italy, enjoyed much of his club success at Barcelona, where he played from 2004 to 2009.

He spent a brief time at Everton and Sampdoria before the move to Antalyaspor.

His trophies there included three La Liga crowns, alongside former Brazil forward Ronaldinho, and two Champions League titles.

As a member of the Cameroon national team, Eto'o was a part of the squad that won the 2000 Olympic tournament.

It's worth mentioning that Eto'o announced his retirement from worldwide football in August 2014 after participating in the 2014 World Cup.
