Emre Can captains Liverpool as they face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Monday evening.

Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal has insisted that his side are more than capable of achieving a result against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, despite sitting bottom of the Premier League.

The Reds delivered one of their best displays in recent history as they beat league leaders Manchester City last weekend.

They remain bottom, but just three points now separate the division's lowest six teams.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists he would never sell a player to a rival Premier League club during the season like Arsenal are set to with Alexis Sanchez.

"Once Liverpool have a new goalkeeper, another centre-half to play with Van Dijk - Robertson is the answer at left-back - with Keita coming in, it could be very exciting for Liverpool", Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live. Like a Formula 1 auto. It was exactly what we had to do to play against Liverpool - make them play the way they don't like it.

Swansea have picked up two wins in their last four games against the Reds, so the game could be a competitive one, especially considering Carvalhal's side haven't lost in their last three games.

Furthermore, the capture of Walcott could bring an end to Everton's record signing, Gylfi Sigurðsson, being used on the left wing. Depending on other results, an away win on Saturday could lift them out of the drop zone.

"It makes no real sense if he comes in and makes a mistake in his first game". The problem they have is that everyone is watching them [through a magnifying glass] and saying 'still not good enough!' Swansea have looked better at the back under Carvalhal, but it is hard to see the home side keeping Klopp's side at bay. "That's all the past and I'm not really interested", he said.

Liverpool will be flying high after ending Manchester City's 22-match unbeaten streak last week with a wild 4-3 victory at Anfield.

"When Liverpool put pressure on the sides we switched to the other to put them under the pressure".

But the most surprising call from the Times before the Swansea game is the position of Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool XI.

"So let's try and exploit that and hide the strong points that they do have".

"The best teams in the world have very few weak points, but they do have them". Long balls into the box will help keep Carvalhal's attackers on the front foot, and will ensure that Karius will be kept busy for the entire 90 minutes. "(There are) no doubts that from last season to this season (there has been) a great improvement from Anthony and we need that", Mourinho told Sky Sports.

Klopp claims that he is happy with the players now on his books, and has confidence in those already at his disposal to cover the loss of Coutinho and allow him to delay drawing up a transfer strategy until the summer.
