Though the video clocks in at just over 14 minutes, this "Nintendo Direct Mini" still features a treasure trove of new announcements for the Switch.

The coop focused Kirby game for the Nintendo Switch finally has a release date.

Pokken Tournament DX will receive some new content through a DLC "Battle Pack". Wave two contains Blastoise, and the new support Pokemon Mew and Celebi. The Battle Pack is available for purchase now on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99. A Nintendo 3DS demo of Kirby Battle Royale was also announced.

EA's intriguing indie, Fe, also got a release date and a Switch trailer, confirming that its ethereal adventuring will arrive on February 16. The game is planned to launch later this year. Well, it'll contain the first story mode in the series since Power Tour on the Game Boy Advance and "new wrinkles in tennis gameplay".

BMW has drifted into the record books. "In the end, the refueling system worked flawlessly and the M5 performed as expected". A second Guinness World Records title for the longest twin vehicle drift (water assisted) was also set on the same day.

Towerfall Ascension developer Matt Makes Games announced that its upcoming platfomer Celeste will be released on Nintendo Switch on January 25. As anyone who played those games - or the brilliant Switch title Golf Story - knows, these sports story modes tend to be incredibly entertaining detours from the competitive play that are loaded with creative minigames. The update is due in February.

Nintendo released a Mario Tennis game for the Wii U called Mario Tennis Ultra Smash which received mixed to not - so - great reviews. You'll need to use a special move at the end of each fight to win, which does sound a little gimmicky, but you'll be able to find out when it launches in summer. In addition to a new chapter of the Mario Tennis series, it's also releasing action RPG The World Ends with You: Final Remix, JRPG Ys VIII, fighting game SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, and Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze. You can grab it as part of the Gold Edition or Season Pass version of the game or purchase it separately. The DLC arrives in spring. The Switch version of the game will include a timed-exclusive character name Joy, who's described as a "Japanese computer whiz". The port launches February 27th and, if the multiplayer works smoothly in handheld mode, this could be an incredible fit for the platform. That changes when the game hits shelves on February 16. It's a very handsome game but we still don't know an enormous amount about it.

Celeste - This pixelated action platformer lets players jump, climb and fall through a unsafe ascent on Celeste Mountain. The original game is included in all its slippery, frozen glory with a brand-new novice mode that lets players take up the mantle of Funky Kong, a "groovy" new character who can hover, double jump, and use his surfboard to do a lot of cool tricks underwater.
