This is peak flu season, and America has been hit hard. He started to feel bad enough that he needed to seek medical attention.

Most people who get the flu virus recover in less than 14 days, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

But the cough and fever got worse, so Baughman checked into a Westmoreland County emergency room on December 27 and was subsequently flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

One Body Recovered Near Wreckage of Iranian Oil Tanker
As Reuters reports , the tanker, named Sanchi , collided with a Hong Kong-registered freighter off China's eastern coast. The Sanchi was due to arrive at Daesan in South Korea from Kharg Island in Iran yesterday, according to the Reuters data.

A BODYBUILDER has died just five days after contracting the flu after suffering septic shock. She says the most vulnerable people are the very old and the very young. According to family members, both of her children were sick in the week before and they may have infected their mother with the virus. It is unknown if having the flu shot would have prevented Baughman from getting sick (sometimes the flu shot is for a different strain and doesn't protect against the sickness), but it's a possibility.

The family of Kyler Baughman of Latrobe, Pennsylvania told NBC10 affiliate WPXI he was always into physical fitness and was going to school to be a personal trainer. "It doesn't seem real", his mother Beverly told KPXI, adding her son appeared to be the picture of health.

During this extremely challenging time, Mr. and Mrs. Baughman have made a decision to share their story with the media in hopes of raising awareness. "I'll go rest a little bit, '" added Baughman's mom.

Kyle Baughman was an active gym-goer prior to falling ill with influenza and died shortly after he subsequently contracted sepsis, WXPI reports. "At whatever point you have a fever and you have it various days, don't release it. Get it dealt with".

"Try to know your body", he said. "Don't let things go", said Kyler's father, Todd Baughman.
