At the heart of BFGDs is the latest G-SYNC HDR technology that synchronizes the display's 120Hz refresh rate to that of the game at every moment in time.

NVIDIA summarize their new display by saying; "In conclusion, new Big Format Gaming Displays deliver an unmatched PC gaming experience for enthusiasts, with the world's first 65" PC gaming panel, which supports 4K gaming at up to 120Hz, at ultra-low latencies, with G-SYNC and best-in-class HDR with 1000 nit peak brightness. Thus far, Nvidia implemented this technology in computer monitors ranging from 24-inch up to 34-inch diagonals and select gaming laptop screens, but the company now wants to extend these benefits to larger screens through the Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGD) initiative. Other specifications include a full array direct backlight as well as DCI-P3 cinema quality color gamuts. Very smooth and tear-free gaming is also promised thanks to the inclusion of Nvidia G-Sync. The Nvidia BFGD looks to combine the benefits of those monitors on a TV-sized screen.

Additionally, Nvidia's streaming tech, Shield, is built right into the display without the need for a separate unit. Shield lets you stream Amazon, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube and many other popular channels. Asus has already unveiled its own ROG SWIFT PG65 BFGD "monitor", HP has the Omen X 65 BFGD and Acer announced the 65-inch Predator BFGD, all of which are lined up for launch later this year. No more tearing and splitting screens during your awesome 4K gaming. We'll know more when ASUS, Acer, and HP make their individual announcements.
