Steve Bannon Apologizes For Anti-Trump Comments in Michael Wolff Book

Wolff's book quoted Bannon as calling a June 2016 meeting between a Russian lawyer and Trump Jr., son-in-law Jared Kushner and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort "treasonous" and "unpatriotic".

Among the book's draws: an interview with former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.

The book claims that for "Steve Mnuchin and Reince Priebus, the president was an 'idiot.' For Gary Cohn, he was 'dumb as shit.' For H.R. McMaster, he was a 'dope.' The list went on".

Bookstore owners in Southern California say they have experienced long lines and have received a flood of phone calls for the book. "It's all about him", Wolff said.

"This is a book by a NY gossip columnist who has been known to fabricate stories, who says in his own preface that looseness with the truth is an elemental thread of the book", Cotton said on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos".

A manager of Barnes & Noble in Glendale said there are no more copies in stock, adding that customers have a better chance to find the book if they pay over the phone.

Everton meets Blade Runner in Twitter clip announcing Cenk Tosun signing
I know the guys as I've always watched Everton's games from Turkey, so I know a bit about the team already. Tosun signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Everton after transferring from Besiktas on Friday.

He said it was "remarkable to have a sitting US President tweeting that he is very smart and a genius and a stable one at that ..."

On Sunday, Trump again attacked Wolff and his assertions, invoking former President Ronald Reagan, who battled questions about dementia in the final years of his eight-year term.

This phenomenon is already having an impact on even the anti-Trump elements of the news media.

"Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book", Trump tweeted late Friday evening local time.

"There are some serious issues", Schiff said, and added that "the pressures of the job may only get worse".

Bannon apologized Sunday, saying that Trump Jr. I've never seen or heard the type of toxic language that they are talking about. "When you look at the fact that he is starting to ramp up rhetoric on Iran, if you read his national security statement of December [with its tough talk on China and Russia] there is no question in my mind that he has started to think about who his next major enemy is going to be ... the likelihood of a significant war happening with the United States involved is a pretty serious one".
