If this were a normal science fiction series like Star Trek, everyone would team up to work towards finding the culprit, but since Nightflyers is based on the work of George R.R. Martin, many on the ship obviously begin to doubt and suspect each other. However, it appears that the Literary God of Death's old property is about to be reincarnated as a television series over at Syfy.

Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta of Gaeta Rosenzweig Films will also executive produce, along with Lloyd Ivan Miller and Alice P. Neuhauser of Lloyd Ivan Miller Productions.

"Nightflyers" has officially been ordered to series at Syfy and set its main cast, the cabler announced Thursday. She's also booked to appear in the upcoming United States of America drama series Yellowstone.

When will Snow Bomb Cyclone end stop?

'She's Gotta Have It' Renewed For A Second Season
There's no exact date as to when production will begin on She's Gotta Have It Season Two or an actual release date. The series, which premiered on Netflix over last Thanksgiving weekend, is Lee's first move into series television.

Daniel Cerone, showrunner of the short-lived Constantine on NBC, will serve as the Nightflyers showrunner. Mike Cahill will direct the pilot. "The script that Jeff delivered encapsulates this classic sci-fi horror story and adapts it to a platform where we can truly explore the depths of madness". It doesn't look like Martin will be involved with the series, at least for now.

Although GRRM was fairly hands-on with his approach to Game of Thrones, writing one episode per season, he is slated to take a backseat as executive producer so he can get on with the latest instalment of his fantasy epic, The Winds of Winter - much of which has already been depicted on TV.

NIGHTFLYERS follows eight maverick scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system aboard The Nightflyer - a ship with a small tightknit crew and a reclusive captain - in the hope of making contact with alien life. It's set in Martin's "Thousand Worlds" universe, which despite containing a thousand worlds, could not find room for Westeros.
