Power Outage Shuts Down About a Dozen Attractions in Disneyland, Company Says

Rides affected include Toontown, Fantasyland, and the Monorail.

A transformer is now to blame, shutting off power all across Toontown, as well as portions of Fantasyland around 11 am Pacific Time.

A major power outage is affecting attractions in parts of Disneyland in Anaheim Wednesday, a busy time for the park during the holiday season.

The Disneyland spokesperson told NBC News that the outage was a result of "an issue with a transformer" but did not elaborate.

Disneyland Parks is now only accepting guests for re-entry. The guests sat "25 minutes in the dark" and were eventually escorted off.

In a tweet, the park clarified that for the time being it would only accept "re-entry guests" until the issue was resolved.

A park representative said most areas were back online by early afternoon. There were no reports of injuries due to the outage. Later they added, "Disney California Adventure Park remains available for your enjoyment".
