Natural disaster of 5.5 magnitude shakes Delhi, Uttarakhand

Everything was moving for a while.

As per media reports Vibrations were also felt in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, Kullu and Mandi, and some parts of Punjab and Haryana. According to the Meteorological Department, the center of the quake was in Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand, about 121 km east of Dehradun. It was measured 5 at the Richter scale.

Uttarakhand comes in an area which is more prone to quake. The hill state, a part of the Himalayan region, falls under a high seismic zone. Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and other areas across northern India.
