1 dead after hit-and-run driver strikes several pedestrians in Queens

The driver plowed his vehicle into at least six people about 4:30 a.m.in the Richmond Hill neighborhood in Queens, according to the New York Police Department.

One person died and several others were injured on Sunday when a hit-and-run driver mowed down a group of people after a stabbing outside a New York City hookah bar, police said.

Police said one person was killed and that at least one person was critically injured in the crash.

Another witness saw the driver slam into a parked auto before careening toward the victims.

Officers initially had responded to a 911 call when two individuals stabbed each other at the lounge in Queens at around 4:30 a.m. Police said both transported themselves to a nearby hospital.

On Halloween, Sayfullo Saipov careened into a crowd of pedestrians in Lower Manhattan, killing eight people in what police said was a terror-related attack.

"I saw a couple of kids, just fighting", neighbor Milagros Urbina said. They were screaming, it was insane. Police are searching for the driver, who they say had his hair in a ponytail. The remaining five were rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where one was listed in critical condition early Sunday.
