In an interview with MTV, Margot let slip that work on the (as yet untitled) film has been under way for about two years.

Warner Bros. and DC now have a bevy of projects they're working on: Justice League (which premiered on November 17, 2017 and was the first DCEU to open under $100 million), Aquaman (out December 21, 2018), 2019's Shazam and Wonder Woman 2, as well as 2020's Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps. "I mean it's hard to kinda talk about it because all this stuff is under lock and key, but yeah I've been working on a separate spin-off for Harley for a while now". Months before Amanda Waller's Task Force X hit had even theaters, the studio fast-tracked its first Harley Quinn spinoff feature starring the Gotham City Sirens. "There's a lot going on right now", Robbie continued.

The actress emphasized that she wants to see the character with more women, so we can expect an all-female cast, or at the least, a cast that's 90% women. Robbie has done a great job at portraying Quinn, so anything she's in should make for a fun film. "I kept saying it when we were shooting Suicide Squad, I was like, 'She needs her girlfriends.' Like, she needs other girls around her because she loves that". You see it in the comics.

Kate Steinle death: Garcia Zarate acquitted of homicide
President Donald Trump used the case as an example of why the country needs tougher immigration policies during his campaign. Under local sanctuary city rules, local law enforcement won't hold a person beyond the term of their incarceration.

Margot revealed that her take on the story will give Harley the "girl gang" she needs.

Ultimately, what will be the test of a Harley Quinn spin-off - or any Warner Bros. And when it comes to Harley Quinn and all of the other badass women in Batman's rogues gallery, there's a lot of potential. But you also can't be kind of paralyzed by the idea of 'How do we please everyone?' because it's just not going to happen. With doing (I, Tonya) as well - this is someone that everyone knows well and has already passed judgement on. We may find out sooner rather than later. And Margot Robbie says you can add one more Harley-centric project to your bucket list: a solo movie. It seems like it's best for Warner ideal their craft instead of tacking on even more projects on their already-hefty plate.
