Mississippi State named Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead as its new head coach on Wednesday after Dan Mullen took the head-coaching job at Florida.

Cornerback Lamont Wade applauded Moorhead's move.

There was excitement in town Wednesday when the university made the formal announcement of its new coach, naming Moorhead, 44, a Pittsburgh native who had rejuvenated the Penn State offense over the last two seasons with a clever and innovative read option attack.

It did not take long for Joe Moorhead to become one of the most popular men in Starkville, Mississippi.

But what is known, Penn State is about to be on the lookout for an offensive coordinator, and here are four guys to consider if you're James Franklin.

Roy Moore says liberal, LGBTQ 'conspiracy' to blame for sex abuse allegations
Moore began his remarks by blaming liberals for the country's political woes. "It makes me wonder who raised Jimmy Kimmel ". They don't want conservative values. "They are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender ... who want to change our culture".

Kelly Clarkson joins James Corden for 'Carpool Karaoke'
A violinist popped up to help set the mood, while Corden told his two passengers to "just pretend I'm not here". Brandon then joked: "I feel like we're making a porn with all the cameras".

Efficiency improvements in the batteries also liberate an extra 12bhp from the electric motor , which powers the front wheels. The combined power output of 369bhp and 570Nm is channelled through a six-speed automatic gearbox to the rear wheels.

Penn State linebacker Jason Cabinda had a similar message. "We wish Joe nothing but success at Mississippi State".

Moorhead was considered a "high priority" candidate for the vacancy, per a Monday night report by USA Today's Dan Wolken. The former Fordham head coach (38-13 record from 2012-15) reportedly received interest in jobs like Purdue and Temple previous year, but returned to Penn State to coordinate the Nittany Lions' high-octane attack. PSU is 21-5 in his time there. They then went 10-2 this season with running back Saquon Barkley serving as a Heisman candidate throughout the campaign.

The Nittany Lions will certainly miss Moorhead. In the two years before Moorhead arrived in Happy Valley, Penn State's average rank was No. 99 nationally in yards per play.

Moorhead's offense finished seventh in the country in points per game in 2017, as Barkley, quarterback Trace McSorley, wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton and tight end Mike Gesicki thrived in the system.
